Monthly Meeting

Our monthly meeting will resume on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 6:00 pm as long as it is safe.

Reminders

When walking your dog please clean up any dog poop out of your neighbors yards.

Walking Trail & New Play Ground

The walking trail is finished. The ribbon cutting ceremony will happen this spring 2024.

Announcements

Every 1st Saturday of each month Lima Drive Seventh-Day Adventist Church Food Bank from 3 pm – 5 pm.

Every 3rd Tuesday of each month Food Pantry at the Village Shelter from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.

Starting February 1, 2024- Free Tax Preparation at Black and Williams Center- Call 211 to make an appointment.

Wednesday, February 22, 2024- Planting Seeds at the Village Shelter from 4:30 – 6:00 pm Volunteers needed!

Saturday March 18, 2024- Planting Day Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Rain Date: Saturday March 25, 2024- Planting Day Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.

RENTAL NOTE: If you are interested in renting the Charles Quillings Center (Village Shelter) the number is (559) 327-3805. We are currently taking reservations for the 2024 year. Call and leave your name, number, and the date you would like to reserve. We will return your call within a 24-hour period. The deposit is $125.00 to reserve that date and $150.00 for rental. Your deposit is refundable after you clean the building and are inspected by our custodian. Please call the office to request your refund!

Christmas Activities for the month of December

Christmas Decoration Contest 

If you would like to enter SMVNA 3rd Best Christmas Decoration Contest, there will be 3 winners. The 3rd place prize is $50, 2nd place prize $75, and 1st place $100. To enter the contest please call (859) 270-9339 and leave your name, address, and a good telephone number where you can be reached.

Decorations guidelines in accords to city ordinance.

4 judging categories: Creative use of lights, story-line or theme, placement of decorations, and overall appearance.

Deadline: to call in is Saturday, December 16, 2023 by noon.

Free Christmas Drawing

SMVNA will be drawing for (20) $10 Kroger’s gift cards to purchase an item(s) for your family Christmas meal. Your ticket is attached to the newsletter. In order to enter for the drawing you will need to fill out the ticket including your name and telephone number.

Only 1 entry per household!

You can drop off your ticket on Tuesday, December 12th, between 11:00 am to 2:00 pm or Saturday, December 16th between 12:00 (noon) – 1:30 pm at the shelter.

Christmas Wreath

If you are interested in making a Christmas wreath contact Tina at (859) 948-7407 by Dec 7th. We will make them on December 14th at 1:00 pm at the shelter.

Unisex Gift Exchange

If you are interested in the gif exchange contact Tina (859) 948-7407 by Dec. 7th.

Children Children Gift

In order for only your child or children who live in your household to receive a Christmas gift from St. Martin Village Neighborhood Association. The ages to receive a gift is 6 to 16. You will need to call (859) 231-7136 and leave child/ren names, ages, address, and phone number.

Deadline to call in is Saturday, December 16th by noon.

All winners and gifts will be distributed on Wednesday, December 20th between 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the St. Martins Village Shelter.

Photo ID needed to pick up prizes!

December Food Pantry will be on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 for this month.

Community Inspired Lexington Annual Community Toy Drive 12/1 – 12/15/23. All Proceeds will be donated to Community Families. For further information, you can contact Ms. Rebecca Webb at (859) 693-6436 to register or donate toys or a $25.00 gift card for older children. Help make a child’s Christmas a little brighter!

Don’t forget to call in if you are entering the Best Christmas Decoration Contest, Child or Children Christmas Gift, Christmas wreath, Unisex Gift Exchange, and return your ticket for your chance to win a Christmas Kroge/s Gift card! See deadlines and location!
