Opening Prayer- Michelle Gentry

Prayer Request: Winston Powell Mitchell- lost her husband and Melissa Burbridge’s house caught on fire.

Guest: Edward Priest- New neighbor in attendance.

Sarah Brown , Adina Tatum staff of Council member, and Tyler Morton the council member give report on 1st district of initiatives he will be working on: Youth Programming, Anti Displacement, Sober Living and Hunger Doesn’t Take a Spring Break.

Report from 1st District Councilmember – Tayna Fogle- no report

Report from 2nd District Councilmember – Shayla Lynch- no report- community meeting for new elementary school 3-13-25. Tree Initiative- community engagement March 19, 20, 24, 25. Neighbor Development- funding time to apply ends June 30th. Story Corps- Your family story to preserve the history. LexTran- paratransit listening sessions – how to improve the LexTran bus system. Partners for Youth Scholarship Information- Euphrates Essay Contest. Lexington Preservation & Growth Management Program- Working on a process to expand or not expand our urban service area.

Neighborhood ADA – it is in progress and being looked at for restoration and councilmember Lynch will put money aside to fund the renovation. May use capital money to plant trees in the park on the walking trail.

Michelle contacted each participant for the walking trail as to what to put on the brick that will go along the walking trail.

Parks and Recreation has replaced a damage picnic table

The city is replacing the sump pump in the back of the park to help with the flooding on St. Martins Avenue

Old Business

Razzmadazz Band Reunion for St. Martin’s Village Day

The 2024 Christmas Party was held December 14th, 2024. Attendance was 75 with 100 registered. the budget spent was discussed and to get more information on that please contact the treasurer.

New Business

Mother’s Day Brunch- Budget of $800. – Motion to accept: Bonnie Peeples, Seconded Barbara Webb and motion carrried.

Musical Group- Joyful Soul is included in the budget- $500.

Christmas Dinner- Budget $3000. – Motion accepted Melanie Lane, Seconded Bonnie Peeples and motion carried.

Father’s Day Budget $800. – Motion to accept – Loretta Crowder, Seconded Jackie Maupin and motion carried.
