Opening Prayer- Arty Green

Guest: Mary Hughes League of Women Voters of Lexington, Voter Service Chair, Senator Reggie Thomas, and Bruce Simpson

Bruce Simpson’s remarks- Contact all the council members for a public hearing. We have to fight the zone change and get the road permanently closed. This is not the affordable housing that they are suggesting.

Reggie Thomas- We need people in the neighborhood to show up for the public hearing. People from Oakwood, Georgetown, Greenacres.

Jacques Wigginton- community to the public hearing.

Report from 1st District Councilmember – Tayna Fogle-

  • Talked about the neighborhood showing up to the planning committee.
  • The A Funds old councilmember reserved the money
  • Homeless – 186 people in housing.

Report from 2nd District Councilmember – Shayla Lynch-

  • Fighter Club at UK Football Stadium.
  • October 16th at 6:00 pm STEAM Academy, Theme: Development
  • September 25th at 5:30 pm Mastersonstation Clubhouse Food Trucks
  • Oct 19th- Markbury Library Theme: Transportation 9 -11 am
  • Week without Driving -September 30th – October 5th (choice 1 day)
  • Speed Table this fall on Lima Drive
